New Projects
St. Louis has found itself blessed with unused and vacant land. There are several progressive projects planned for the area to better use this space to benefit residents and increase the quality of life in the city. Community organizations have been working to turn old, unused land into community assets and have found success creating green spaces, urban farms, community gardens, and parks. In the last few years, St. Louis opened a new sculpture park and an urban garden in the center of the city. Over 4 billion dollars has been invested in downtown the last 13 years. Several old buildings have been renovated into condominiums and a new urban park called the City Garden has been installed. City Garden contains fountains, a plaza, a cafe, and more. (Renn, Aaron.
